South African singer, songwriter and guitarist <\/span>Gerald James Clark <\/span>\u00a0has recorded five successful albums, on which he collaborated with some of South Africa’s highest acclaimed musicians.<\/span><\/p>

His second solo album called Black Water received great international acclaim and the music video for the song of the same name was nominated for an European MTV Award. He has traveled and performed his music in 16 countries around the world. His inspiration in his compositions comes from his love for adventure, traveling and his spontaneous nature.<\/span><\/p>

He is backed by Jakub Hlobil on hybrid guitar (bass and guitar at the same time) and Anton\u00edn J\u00edna on drums. Since 2023, the band started collaborating with the brass section of a Czech band called „What the funk“ and although the response has been fantastic, the trio still delivers a solid, soulful and fun set.<\/span><\/p>

Clark and his whole band played a headlining set at the very popular Up the Creek Festival ( <\/span>https:\/\/www.upthecreek.co.za<\/span><\/a> ) in February 2024 in South Africa and has recently returned from Mozambique where the whole band played one of the headlining sets at STRAB festival 2024.(<\/span>https:\/\/strab.co.za<\/span><\/a>) Clark is producing exciting new compositions\/songs and plans for recording are on the table for 2025!<\/span><\/p>

Der s\u00fcdafrikanische S\u00e4nger, Songwriter und Gitarrist Gerald James Clark hat f\u00fcnf erfolgreiche Alben aufgenommen, auf denen er mit einigen der renommiertesten Musiker S\u00fcdafrikas zusammenarbeitete. Sein zweites Soloalbum mit dem Titel Black Water erhielt gro\u00dfe internationale Anerkennung und das Musikvideo zum gleichnamigen Song wurde f\u00fcr einen europ\u00e4ischen MTV Award nominiert. Er hat 16 L\u00e4nder bereist und seine Musik dort vorgestellt. Die Inspiration f\u00fcr seine Lieder kommt von seiner Liebe zu Abenteuern, Reisen und seiner spontanen Natur. Unterst\u00fctzt wird er von Jakub Hlobil an der Hybridgitarre (Bass und Gitarre gleichzeitig) und Anton\u00edn J\u00edna am Schlagzeug. Seit 2023 arbeitet die Band mit den Bl\u00e4sern einer tschechischen Band namens \u201eWhat the funk\u201c zusammen, und obwohl der Sound fantastisch ist, liefert das Trio immer noch ein solides, gef\u00fchlvolles und spa\u00dfiges Set.<\/span>
